I recently got a request on Instagram for a blog post–> “What God says about anxiety.” Though I don’t deal with major anxiety, I have been through some tough things that have cause anxiety in those moments. I think we all may experience anxiety on some kind of level each day. Yes, there are things on earth that we can use to help us cope with this, but God plays a huge role in helping us deal with this. When anxiety hits, this is where our faith is tested– this is where we learn to “let go and let God.”
There is a certain freedom, not like any freedom we can experience on earth, that comes when we allow God to take away our worries, anxiety, fears, and regrets. It’s nothing that we can really put into words because of the vastness it holds. Most of us can agree that we have only a certain amount of control over our lives here on earth. This has a huge impact on our anxiety– when we realize that so much of what we do is out of our control (even some simple day to day tasks), we learn to lean on God to carry this weight for us… we learn simple obedience and reliance on our good good Father.
You were never meant to carry that burden
You are FREE from carrying that burden
You were meant to give God the control, as He guides you down a path you were never meant to walk alone.
This is what I think He says about your anxiety…
“My child… one day we will be Face to face. One day you will see just how much control I have over your life. Your life was never meant to be lived with anxious thoughts and fear, it was meant to be lived freely and joyfully–My Son’s death set you FREE from those very thoughts and fears! I want you to come to Me with every fear and anxiety so that we can work through them, One on one and moment by moment. I want to help you overcome and to declare control and victory over those things that are holding you back from connecting deeply with Me. I want you to know that nothing on this earth is permanent and that the only constant you will ever have is Me, your Abba God– for I am the same yesterday, today, and forever. With eyes of faith, you can be set free from this thing that was never meant to take a hold of you.”
The King of Heaven wants YOU… He wants to see His beautiful children spreading His love joyfully. He wants to see His children having unimaginable faith and giving grace freely. He really really wants the best for you. It’s definitely easier said than done, but the next time you are feeling anxious just say “Jesus, thank you for Your presence.” By doing this, you are reminding yourself that He is with you…
